Who we are
Nowtica is born with a very clear vocation: to become the owner’s personal advisor.
After nearly a decade inside the Lagoon brand, within the Beneteau Group, Nowtica’s founder has walked through every key stage in the life of a catamaran. First in the production workshops, then on the technical delivery of units on the shipyard’s dock, later coordinating the commercial administration of the entire Lagoon range and, finally, as Sales Director of Excess, the Beneteau Group’s second catamaran brand.
But the story of Nowtica is not born only of experience. It is born of a conviction.
Buying a cruising catamaran should never feel like a mere commercial transaction. It should be a clear, exciting, fluid and deeply accompanied experience.
Because between that first conversation and the day the lines are cast off for the first time, there are important decisions, months of preparation and an enormous emotional and financial investment. And the owner deserves to have, by their side, someone who knows the system from the inside and who is, at the same time, fully aligned with their interests.
That is exactly what Nowtica represents: a passion for sailing, real technical knowledge and personalised support throughout the whole journey.

The story
Why Nowtica exists
It all begins long before receiving the keys to the boat.
It begins with a first conversation, at a boat show or even on an online call. It continues with meetings, shipyard visits, configurations, technical decisions, encounters with specialists, sailing, training and hundreds of details that ultimately define not just a boat, but a way of living the sea.

From now on, we will share a multitude of encounters around the same privilege: sailing.
We will meet in our offices alongside legal, financial and technical specialists able to answer every one of your questions clearly and confidently. We will visit the shipyard accompanied by those who build the units every day. We will take part in the international Club Lagoon community, sail together and attend unique events in different corners of the world.
And of course, we will keep learning constantly alongside professionals from the nautical industry.
Nowtica exists to transform that whole process into a transparent, coherent and accompanied experience. Never impersonal. Never opaque.
Today, owners no longer seek only to buy a boat. They seek training, financial optimisation, new forms of shared use, transparency and impeccable after-sales service. In short: comprehensive support before, during and after signing.
To offer that, Nowtica brings together three fundamental dimensions.
The first is that of the shipyard: knowing literally how a Lagoon is built. Knowing what is fitted, which options truly add value, which complicate production unnecessarily and which make more sense to add after the boat is delivered.
The second is the global corporate view: the ability to coordinate the owner’s needs with all the parties involved in the project. Defending their interests, understanding how the system works and knowing exactly whom to call when something needs to be resolved quickly. That is why Nowtica also keeps a presence in Bordeaux, France, alongside Construction Navale Bordeaux, the main catamaran production unit of the Beneteau Group.
The third is independence. An independence designed to protect the owner’s buying experience and to build lasting relationships with those we want to become genuine ambassadors of the brand.
Because the real value for the owner does not lie solely in the purchase of a unit.
- It lies in the technical precision of the months before.
- In the backing during the years of sailing.
- And also in the future resale of the boat.

The man behind
The founder
Rodrigo Valverde
Rodrigo Valverde holds the French AMSIN qualification — Agent for Maintenance and Services in the Nautical Industry — and served as Sales Director of Excess Catamarans until 2025.
He knows the Lagoon ecosystem and the Beneteau Group from the inside, on a path that goes from the workshop floor to international commercial committees.

His career in the industry begins at the Bordeaux plant, as a deck-hardware specialist. A key technical position that allowed him to discover, centimetre by centimetre, how the brand’s units are built and to understand what lies behind every production decision.
Later he moves on to the technical delivery of emblematic models such as the Lagoon 620 and 630, validating the quality of the units alongside the owner during one of the most important moments of the project: the delivery of the boat.
That experience is what guarantees that, on the day your Lagoon is delivered, someone is looking at every detail with the eye of a technician… and also with the sensibility of an owner.
His evolution continues as Sales Administration Coordinator at Lagoon, mastering the administrative, financial, legal and logistical processes that accompany the entire life of a boat. From before the order is signed through to factory customisation and the later “after-market” follow-up.
It is there, in that true corporate “engine room”, that you learn something fundamental: how to prevent a project from being distorted in the system, how to anticipate administrative delays and how to detect a problem before it becomes a cost for the owner.
Those five years at Excess allow him to take part in hundreds of international catamaran-purchase projects within the Beneteau Group, consolidating a uniquely cross-functional view of the industry.
In 2025, with the brand already well established and following a path clearly oriented towards technological innovation, he decides to turn all that corporate experience into a tool of direct value for the owner.
That is why he takes an Executive Master’s in Artificial Intelligence, a training that today translates into Nowtica’s own technological tools, beginning with its exclusive configurator.
The goal is simple: to give the client what they most need in a process of this magnitude.
- Clarity.
- Options.
- Optimisation.
- And, above all, personalised support.
That means total transparency on prices, options and costs from the very first minute. It means working with someone who speaks the same language as the factory engineers and who uses technology to protect your investment.
The relationship with Kat Marina
A strategic alliance with history
Kat Marina has been the official Lagoon distributor in the Valencian Community since 2005 — 21 years of experience.
Nowtica operates independently as a trusted agent, in close collaboration with this benchmark partner. A relationship that was not born in a meeting room, but directly on the docks of Construction Navale Bordeaux, in France.
That trust translates today into a very concrete advantage for the owner.
Choosing Nowtica does not mean giving up anything an official distributor offers. On the contrary.
On one side, the owner has a close personal advisor, available and free from commercial filters. On the other, they have the technical, logistical and after-sales backing of the entire Kat Marina structure.
The closeness of direct contact and the solidity of the official network. Without having to choose between the two.

How Nowtica accompanies
Four client-oriented pillars
Prior guidance
Before talking about models or options, we talk about your sailing project.

- Where you want to sail.
- With whom.
- How many weeks a year.
- Whether the family will grow.
- Whether you imagine great ocean crossings or coastal cruising in the Mediterranean.
That initial conversation defines the right boat far better than any spec sheet.
Experience teaches that the right questions matter more than quick answers. And the goal is always the same: to recommend the catamaran that truly suits you, not simply the best-selling one.
- Because Nowtica’s intention is not to close a deal.
- It is to build a lasting relationship around a shared passion.
Intelligent configuration
Through Nowtica’s exclusive configurator, the future owner can explore the different options of their Lagoon with precise data, real prices and absolute transparency.

- No pressure.
- At your own pace.
- Understanding every decision.
Because behind every option in the catalogue there is a technical reality: how it is fitted at the factory, what it really brings under sail or at anchor, what is worth paying for and what can be added later in better conditions.
The difference is simple:
- here that information is shared before signing, not after.
Pre-owned brokerage
If the ideal project goes through a second-hand Lagoon, Nowtica locates the right unit, meticulously verifies its technical history and analyses the overall viability of the operation.

And, of course, defends the owner’s interests throughout the negotiation.
Whoever has worked inside the shipyard and has seen exactly where each technical problem begins also knows exactly where to look on a boat with thousands of miles behind it.
In addition, Nowtica’s international network of contacts allows every assessment to be completed with the highest level of caution and safety.
Post-delivery support
The relationship does not end with the keys.

Nowtica remains by the owner’s side to resolve technical questions, coordinate preventive maintenance together with Kat Marina and ensure that the boat is always ready to cast off.
And working with Lagoon comes with an extra peace of mind: relying on one of the most powerful and widespread after-sales networks in the world.
- There is always a solution.
- There is always someone on the phone.
But, above all, there is something even more important:
- your advisor remains the same after signing.
Where Nowtica operates
The nautical hub of the Valencian Community
Nowtica’s activity is concentrated in one of the most strategic nautical areas in the Mediterranean.
And it is no accident.
Owners coming from Madrid, the rest of Spain and various places around the world choose the Valencian Community for very concrete reasons: top-tier technical infrastructure, highly qualified professionals, more than three hundred days of sunshine a year and an exceptional quality of life around the sea.
From here we prepare the sail to the Balearic Islands and to much of the western Mediterranean, with a regular presence in five key ports.

A way of understanding every project
Nowtica brings together, on the ground, what truly makes the difference in a project of this scale: technical judgement, transparency and human closeness.
Because between today and the day you receive the keys to your boat, dozens of important decisions take place. And the quality of that journey shapes the final experience entirely.
That is why the best way to begin a project at sea is still also the simplest. An honest conversation about what matters most: your project.
